On the plus side, I won't have a dead tree blocking my view of the Independence Day Fireworks. On the minus side, watching a dead tree fall (taking out a shed and barely missing my fence) was a little stressful.

I really need to learn to cook Indian food. Every now and then I get a craving, but most of the vegetarian offerings I like have peas in them. #yuck ... I mean, I like fresh peas (sometimes), but canned/frozen peas are icky.

10 of (at least) 15 garlic graters thrown. These will be for next year's Seder, so people can grate their horseradish (not garlic) at the table.

Hey, @wmata! It may be early, but I don't think I am that hard to see. Especially when I used my phone to signal the bus. And, yet, the M12 drove right past me. Not great when the buses are 10-12 minutes apart. Stop 26834. Ugh. #commuterproblems #commuterlife #wmatabus

First ever (Jewish) Apple Cake. My mother always called it Jewish Apple Cake (I am assuming b/c it doesn't use dairy). The SigNoth was a little offended by that name. Anyway, turning it out in about 20 minutes. Fingers crossed #baking #bakedbyme #applecake #jewishapplecake #roshhashanahbaking
