AWS is being reported to still have some issues after its outage, and since #SecondLife is running on AWS, wonder if we might experience issues as well.

Also, after further consultation, the community handles code that runs our service has the ability to cache certain responses, which we are trying out now while monitoring database performance.

This should take some strain off the database for repeated secondlife.bio handle lookups

Hi #SecondLife friends, here's a further update on the outage investigations - our service provider has shared:

The increased compute usage appears to be normal. It seems there are active connections throughout most of the day, which prevents the database from scaling to zero during idle periods.

So please bear with us while we investigate and try to improve our services!

If anyone sees their handle saying "Invalid Handle" Please Refresh using these steps:

Go into your Bluesky Settings -> Account -> Handle -> "I have my own domain" -> Enter your full handle in the box.
