Starting to get into the little fiddly bits on this squad. And I finally figured out the wash I needed to be happy with the yellow on the pauldrons. Pretty good progress since I usually don't paint on weekends.

Didn't manage my Orktober goal. Just a piddly ten boyz. But I managed to get a little more paint down today. The odds are good they're being rotated out tomorrow instead of getting finished.

Day 4 of Orktober! I don't know why, but I decided today was a good day for lips, tongues and teef. Also got a few other colors down across the group.

Orktober Day 3. Tried five different colors out for skin and I think I've settled on two for the last three Boyz. Militarum Green and Plaguebearer Flesh have some yellow and brown hints I really like.

Orktober Day 2! That is enough dry brushing for one month! Thankfully, tomorrow starts the steps I really enjoy. I've got a whole mess of contrast and speed paints so I'm going to try and have some varied skin tones.

Day one of Orktober. Got the first few grey layers down today and I'm hoping I can get through the bright layers tomorrow. In small doses, I love dry brushing. But for ten models at a time it's tedious and grueling. It'll be worth it in the end. Probably.

Getting ready for another Orktober. I finally cracked open the new Boyz box after sitting on it for the better part of the year. And while the sculpts look nice, I am was surprised to learn that these are easy to build, monopose push fit models. Only two orks in the kit have any options at all!

I cannot believe this is two weeks of progress. I'm just struggling to find motivation. On the upside, I sold off the vast majority of my Tyranids so that will take a little off my grey pile of shame.
