Roads are publicly owned and should be shared. They can change the tax structure to charge cyclists and pedestrians from property or income tax the $5 to $20 per year they cost for roadways. There’s just a list of complaints about cyclists and this is one that’s quite nonsensical.

My niece is the same. Only eats plain pasta and cheese (plain) and as a result is incredibly unhealthy… but she’s super sweet and makes her own food.

Not a huge fan of her obviously but I can’t quite imagine she would try to harm people or do something illegal. She did file the lawsuit against the city to remove bike lanes and is a super vindictive person but seems pretty unsneaky and outspoken.

I know her and she’s not someone who would do this and she lives and works pretty far from the tack drops.

We are going to have another shutdown in January folks. Just chill and let people eat and get paid for the holidays. We can do this all again soon.

As upsetting as it is to appear to surrender, if the alternative is pushing Americas most vulnerable to starvation, at some point yes caving to feed the hungry is going to be the appropriate response.
The timing is debatable, I say perhaps too soon, but it must be done or we are no better.

It’s easy for folks who aren’t directly impacted by this to say it can go on indefinitely. It’s just not easy not getting paid and forced to sit at home. Or to allow people to go hungry indefinitely. Shutdowns are not a good way to negotiate bc you’re holding millions in limbo.

I thought it was just me breaking into a sweat and squeezing the tire with all my strength and it just sitting there immobilized until it finally loosens. Hope the tubeless trend dies soon
