I put together a table of Pete and Bo's MLB seasons starting from 2019 (their debuts) w/ their games played, plate appearances, wRC+, Off score, and the difference between their Off scores. For split columns, Pete's on the left and Bo's on the right:

Bo is indisputably a good hitter, so I won't spend time here proving that. So why does Pete have 2x the FanGraphs Offense score? Here's the definition of their Off metric; you'll notice that it's a cumulative metric (like WAR) and therefore accumulates with more playing time.

my Bo Bichette essay is on hold for a bit longer while I rework some of the statistical analysis, so in the meantime, I'll share the part of it where I break down this thread and why it's deeply misleading (spoiler: no, Pete Alonso is not "twice as good" at hitting as Bo Bichette)
