Staying at my mom's for a few days which means I found my old yearbooks. I'm pretty sure most of my current friends would concur with this statement.

Proof of life: thing I finished up tonight to submit for an art show about sacred spaces. One of the banners I would hang in my big trans church if I had one. 36 in x 48 in so I really gotta figure out a good way to store it until it finds a new home.

Also I need to take better pictures but here's the jacket that's on the mannequin & a detail shot. The pinks/whites section is a piece I got from the thrift store & I added on all of this heart edging & the heart filet panel to make it bigger. Available for purchase for 200.

I got a picture taken of me this weekend at a market that finally feels like me, just blurry enough & masked to satisfy my 8H AC ruler need for mystery.

This one currently lives on my desk because it's like 2 feet wide and I don't really have another great place to store it. When I get annoyed with work, this is what I look at to remind myself that my value is more than my ability to push documents around and make phone calls.
A large hexagonal crocheted lace doily. It features 6 large leaf shapes, like the wings of maple seeds, extending out from a 6 pointed star in the center. Between each leaf is a series of smaller leaves expanding outward to create the hexagon shape and add more lacy openness to the design.

Also thinking about this one, who is just hanging out in a box in my house. I originally wasn't going to do the red border but once I got started I knew it was Correct and I followed through with placing every last damn bead one by one in its right place.

I still think about this Jupiter doily & I hope it's happy in its new home. It was one of the first big sales I made & I was just astonished that someone was willing to compensate me for my work like that. I hope someday I feel up to making more big projects again & that a market still exists.

I really hope to get back to making more devotional work & doing more magic this year, going through my photos was a fun if slightly sad exercise in looking at all the things I made from 2021-2023 & how distant it feels now, but.. more details on each piece in their alt text.

A small altar to Mercury, comprised of a scalloped square crocheted doily made of rainbow colored thread, a Tarot deck inside of a teal crocheted bag that features the Mercury glyph, a ring of old keys, a small vial of Mercury in Gemini oil from Sphere and Sundry, and a Mercury devotional candle from Astatula Candle Company. A large crocheted lace cloth. It is cream colored with pointed ends, like a square with triangles on opposite sides. The center design features a large floral motif surrounded by small dots and crosses, and 4 quatrefoil motifs. At each end is a glyph of Venus. A top down view of my St Expedite altar. It features a red and yellow crocheted lace cloth I made, which is laid over a black and white patch. Arranged on the cloth are a Sacred Heart votive candle, a vial of St Expedite oil, a reclining ceramic angel, a rosary, a variety of keys, a chunk of pyrite, lightning glass, a lodestone, a St Expedite necklace, and a lock.

I'm making breakfast burritos tonight, which is what made me post about this. Probably $10 of ingredients (tofu, guac, hot sauce, cheez, tater tots, tortillas) makes 4 of them. I like getting a little crisp on my scramble, I've had too much mushy undercooked stuff at restaurants.
A cooking pan full of cooked tofu scramble. The tofu has been mashed to a medium fine consistency. The turmeric in the spice mix makes it an appealing yellow color, and there is a little bit of browning throughout.

Got these little painted doll heads at the secondhand craft store, might make them into planetary people. Left is feeling either Jupiter or Mercury, right is feeling Saturn.

If you have some clips or safety pins, you can make a blanket into a jacket fairly easily. You want to figure out which direction has the right width for your body/arm span, then fold it down about 1/3-1/2 & pin the corners to the sides of the blanket. I've made a few from crochet blankets like this
