Ale, mountain walking, rugby, gigs.

💥Happy with that. Second place in the Euro Sour Ales category in Norwich Amateur Brewers Steinmasters homebrew comp today. Straight Goses are rarely seen in UK.

If you are interested in historical Milds, then Durden Park Beer Circle have been collecting old recipes and have a small booklet with these detailed.

Below are 2 pale mild recipes (#6 & 23 ) plus some light amber milds they have detailed from the 19th century.

Well chuffed with my second place in today's Scottish National Homebrew Comp.

It goes well with Charlie the Butterfly birthday cake too.

A tad understated, but the malt and piney hops comes through. Nice lacing too. Reasonably happy with #099 so far although it's still a bit hazy. Nowt that time and gravity won't sort...and it's definitely red-ish.

Gyle#99 & last brew of the year today.
I’ve never brewed a decent US IPA except for a NEIPA, so decided last minute to do a Red IPA…well it’s definitely on the red side of brown.
Mostly C hops, 6.0% and 65 ibu
🤞
