If it has dice or spaceships, then I probably love it. He/Him.
At a regional con I participated in a paint and take miniatures event. This Halfling pikeman really stuck out to me. I do not know when I will get to play a character in D&D again, but when I do I am making a character for this miniature. I even have a name. They will be Whiskey T. Foxtrot

I was looking for some new video games to play and picked up this @doinksoft.bsky.social collection mostly because it was a good price. I am glad I did. Modern game design mixed with retro sensibilities is exactly what I was looking for.

Forgot to take a picture, but I got to play Shackleton Base from @pandasaurusgames.com and the hype is real. It is a really good game.

I am an introvert, and after several days away from home having to be fairly social I am retreating to play a spaceship game on my own. Talon by @gmtgames.bsky.social

It may be a little obscure, but put me in the Captain’s chair in the most 80’s way possible.

I attended a small gaming event and there was someone selling old ttrpg books and accessories at garage sale prices. Mixed in I found this game. It comes with card stock standees so I am looking forward to exploring this game of fairy violence.

Right now, I feel like I could take on the whole Empire myself.

Koi is such a pleasant game experience. Even when I lose I feel like I win because I created something beautiful.

We have an annual tradition of taking the train into Chicago. This time we visited Bonus Round Game Cafe and had a great time playing games.

It has been a while since I played Aquatica, so I ran through the solo game to remember the rules.

I do not play video games, especially first person shooters like I used to back in the day. This mean I am not as good at them, which just lessens the desire to play. However, I recently learned Halo: Infinite allows for bot matches and that has helped me rediscover the fun that was lost

I have a hard time saying “no” to obscure games, especially if they have spaceships shooting each other. That is why I picked up Space Nazis from Hell at the Gen Con consignment store. My son helped me review it:

We wrote a review for Vallamkali by Mozaic Games. This might be a little obscure but it is the surprise of Gen Con for us. It also introduced us to snake boat racing.

After watching the final arc of Andor, I am even more convinced that being bought by Disney is the best thing to ever happen to Star Wars

I ran a gelatinous cube in Dungeons and Dragons for the first time. These things must have quite the reputation because the adventurers nope’d right out of the dungeon.

The #GenCon event catalog is up, and it includes the events I am running.

If flying a Klingon gunboat, secretly helping people, being a butterfly princess, or fighting fascism sounds good to you then add these events to your wishlist.

I was planning on participating in the national “Hands Off” protest today, but a sick kid changed my plans at the last minute. I got my sign made though. I will save it, because I will likely have more opportunities to use it.

I am not quick to ascribe things as divine action but a plague causing egg prices to skyrocket right as a deeply immoral man take office because people voted for him to lower egg prices feels incredibly biblical.

I think it is time to go back and watch Andor.
