I like the Eye but the others are very basic, yeah. I wish the xeno had bigger tubes and ridges on its back, that always helps to break up the human silhouette. I did very much like the shot of it on the statue in the first or second episode.

For me it mostly was the alien redesign that doesn’t work, as well as how it’s shot/lit. Some of it looks great, but mostly it looks cheap/rubbery. The one thing I liked about Romulus was the alien design. And that was mostly done with same combi of animatronic, man in suit and cg. But better.
