I don’t *think* they were BBC specifically, but very much from that same tradition. It’s a brilliant show, never seen anything quite like it. Apparently the only show that people who work doing spy stuff IRL will watch and go “Oh yeah, that is actually what the real day-to-day work looks like.”

There’s an old British spy show called The Sandbaggers you might like.

The entire appeal of the show is that you’re following the characters problem solving process with them and going “Duuuuude. Fuck man I don’t even know. This is *really* tough to figure.” Characters are very competent.
