I make things with computers.

Used to cause trouble at AWS, IBM, and FT Labs. Forged in the fires of Redweb Labs (which were mostly my fault)

It's built on-top of a Welsh open source framework too! Anything could happen 😂

I've put together a little Alpha version for people to try out, but beware, here be dragons/bugs 😂

That would be super-helpful, but I don't know Swift, so I built this in Go with Wails (wails.io) - so I think I'd have to tie all of that logic together manually 🥲

Wails is phenomenally good, though! Defo check it out for cross-platform native app building (If Go is your thing :) )

Ooh, I haven't thought about too much yet. I've built it "local-first" so far, so everything about sentiment and what you've read lives in a sqlite database on your system.

If I ever built it for cross-platform, I probably would introduce user accounts so you could sync across devices :)

As for seeing what's been filtered out, you can use the slider to see the articles scored as largely negative, or you can use the toggle at the top of the feed to see articles which haven't been scored yet :)

Thanks! :)

I definitely plan to let people choose what models they would like to use (smaller/faster/less accurate vs bigger/slower/more accurate), but I definitely think a future version will have a "I agree/disagree with this score" so it'll be AI + Human ranking the articles.

I had some in an Indian restaurant just outside of Greenock some years back.

Absolutely. Incredible.
