I live in the Village of Laurium in Michigan. It’s smack dab in the heart of an historic copper mining district, but it’s named for those silver mines of Laurion.

Or an ‘enlightened’ society that believes they’ve figured it out and everyone else should enjoy the same enlightenment. Not conquering so much as ‘conforming’ the universe to their worldview.
Reminds me of born again religiosity and forced conversion.
I hope it’s not so simple as just conquest.

At no point does the assignment instruct the students to cite. It also asks the students to discuss what/why they “feel” regarding the topic. No mention of “empirical evidence.”
Instructors have to be just as explicit as students. Otherwise this happens. Repeatedly.
Regardless, she has no case.
