I recently took part in Deborah Klee’s Castaway Books author podcast.

You can only have five books & one luxury item - and I didn’t go for a comfy bed, chocolate, OR a helicopter!

Calling all Book Clubs!

In the back of 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐌𝐢𝐝𝐰𝐢𝐟𝐞 you will find book club questions. The book covers under-explored aspects of women’s social history and provides an opportunity to discuss some of these topics alongside the plot, characters etc.

Why not consider it for your next read?

The Broken Vow is only 99c/99p on #Kindle. Travel back to 1915 with this powerful story of a spoiled socialite forced to confront the realities of war. A heartfelt journey of personal growth, resilience, and friendship for fans of #DowntonAbbey. #historicalfiction geni.us/332-al-aut-am

Hey, so while you were all sad recently about the state of historical romance in publishing, 18 (!) Unusual Historicals dropped in June. Turn that frown upside down and read all about them over at the Bat Cave wendythesuperlibrarian.blogspot.com/2025/06/so-m... #RomBkBlog #Romancelandia

An exciting task today!

I dropped off an advance copy of 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐌𝐢𝐝𝐰𝐢𝐟𝐞 to the lovely team at WHSmith in Belfast City Airport. We’re hoping to arrange a book signing for September when the book is officially launched.

“We read romance because it’s well-written, engaging, and—most importantly—uplifting. And in today’s world we all need a wee glow now and again.”

I've written for Elysium Lifestyle Magazine about the sneering that romance books often get, and outlined responses to some of the key criticisms we hear. Have I missed any?

Day 29 - #HistFicMay
I don’t have a specific time for writing but for the first draft of my sixth novel, The Stolen Sister, I found that getting up and starting writing on the computer by 7am each morning kept me immersed in the story.

Day 31 #HistFicMay

My next histfic book is a follow up to Peggy’s story, featuring her friend Kathleen who is a Belfast handywoman (uncertified midwife).

But it’s 1941 and the Belfast Blitz is about to happen…

Currently editing this one and am really pleased with it!

Here it is - the gorgeous cover for 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐌𝐢𝐝𝐰𝐢𝐟𝐞!

I absolutely love it! Peggy is right there, looking gorgeous, we can see the red-brick streets of Belfast and the fancy neo-classical buildings of Dublin. If you look closely you’ll even see the bicycle!
