Yes, Push Notifications is a contract between the app developer and the user. So the app developer’s account needs to be the one pushing them into the APNS, which means you need your own AppView / Backend to do that.

That’s my gut feeling as well. UX / UI aesthetics are cyclical and what GenZ has been fed over the last 10 years are super polished, universal profile pages with no real room for expressing yourself.
