I haven't yet. It was on my long list, but I opted for Perewangan instead. The Elixir might have been more fun.

I don't actually know how it was filmed. It wouldn't surprise me if they handled the black & white in post-production, however. Not many people shoot on film these days.

I've said before how I'd rather watch a bad film than a mediocre one, and this really got me thinking about why. After over fifty years of watching horror, I just appreciate films that show me something new. Perewangan did not do that.

I became aware of @malcolmcraig.bsky.social’s Cold City/Hot War listening to an episode of the GFoJE several years ago where @sdorward.bsky.social was enthusing about them. Eventually I hunted down copies (a major challenge) and wasn’t disappointed! A majestic diptych of TTRPGs. Unparalleled!
