it seems you were right the first time. i replaced by keyboard and mouse and it all seems fine right now. i guess i was just being paranoid

it just seems like too many coincidences to me. especially with the sudden loss of internet last night, followed by immediately trying to select the hidden network. i can try to get a new keyboard and mouse, and try to take some vids of the situation, though

i currently don't have a different keyboard or mouse, but, this scroll problem currently affects the popup for available networks and the Windows Settings window, mainly the Network settings, nothing else really. plus, anything like the network troubleshooter now opens UNDER the settings window

(i would appreciate any help, if possible)

actually, whatever this is has also affected my ability to scroll in other apps/programs/settings for my Windows desktop. like it just forces any scrollable selections to the bottom of the list. :( i dunno what to do

so far, thankfully, my comp hasn't tried to connect to the hidden network, but it sure is trying to force me to connect. i can't scroll up to check on my actual network, and the security is also scroll locked to try to prevent me from doing anything. :(
