it was literally just `tar xf signal-desktop.pkg.tar.zst -C /` then removing the metadata dotfiles
not sure if you meant this but you can't just throw pacman in another distro because it'd try to pull in arch dependencies and they'd all conflict with your distro's own files

i really cannot trust the flatpak when they thought disabling local file encryption by default instead of fixing things was a good choice
