More upcoming contra music and dance: Contra Jam Session (music, not dance) - Wednesday, June 4, 2025; 7-9:30 pm - San Diego International Folk Dance Club hosts another opportunity to play some tunes together and discuss making music for contra dances. Join us at the Balboa Park Club. 5 years ago today, we lost John Prine at 73. A mailman turned master songwriter, he gave us countless albums of wisdom, wit, and heart. He may not have chased the spotlight, but legends like Dylan and Cash sure chased him.
