Great article. I'm in the middle of starting a business, so reading a bunch of business stuff. "Solve a problem" is the entrepreneurial mantra nowadays. What the hell kind of problems have these things solved? The connection you discussed at the end, just FOMO, or is the advice not applicable here?

I think about this every time I hear some bonehead ask if I want government to run healthcare or other services like they do the dmv. I'd gladly renew my license once a month for the rest of my life if I never had to talk to Blue Cross or Comcast again.

When i worked at a nonprofit we asked our attorney to help us understand the legal difference between advocacy and lobbying. Supporting or opposing particular bills was one of the activities she said was lobbying. What did Fine get wrong?
