Great that you rode PBP2019. I tell people that training is hard for you since you don’t have easy access to good roads for cycling.

I visit every year. Should be there later this year, maybe Nov or Dec. Will sync with you when I have it planned out.

In Spotify under Settings > Audio Quality, select Very High for both WiFi and/or Cellular, and disable Auto Adjust Quality. In an ideal environment, there is a sweet spot for bitrate for me. Even in the days of mp3, I could not discern between 192 kbps and 320 kbps but 64 kbps sounded bad.

The real damage is the fact that they have been labeled as “low performers”, not that they will lose their jobs. That is cruel.

While it is fair to 💩 on LinkedIn, it is the only social network that I *need* and have benefited from. Maybe if they lowered the price for Premium ($30/m last time I checked) then they wouldn’t need to push for more engagement in this manner.

- have humane picnic visits with family
- no armed guards
- get into nature
- have actual gym equipment
- leave prison with money
- eat good and plentiful food

People don’t realize that fires are part of the ecology here. They are getting bigger and happening more frequently. Also, Cal Fire fights fires *all the time* and it is one of the best firefighting forces in the world.

Hello again 👋

Comment I read on 🧵: the Web 2.0 and software folks have a different dna from the hardware folks that made Silicon Valley.
My take: the former did not go through any pain and suffering, hence the hubris. Things are not as easy for them anymore – they know it and are desperate.
