1/3 Most of us can name one. I’m lucky enough to name many — Mrs Brown, Mr Donoghue, Mr Murphy, Chris Sinclair, Dr Hazel Hall, David Muir, fiona Sabba, Greg McDowall and Alan McIntosh. A few of the incredible teachers who supported me at different times in my journey

Happy International Women's Day. It's a stark reminder that there's still so much work to do.

* Persistent Gender Gap: In Scotland, Computing Science at school level still has the largest gender gap compared to any other traditional STEM subject, and this has persisted for over a decade.

Looking for opportunities! Do you deliver a CS related course at college or uni in Scotland & can spare 30 mins of a class before summer for amazing CS teachers to give a short 15-20min talk, followed by questions to your students. Hope to inspire more to consider CS teaching.

✨ Honoured to be Highly Commended in the Woman of the Year category at the #WomenInTechExcellence Awards for my work at @stacshq.bsky.social

Still lots of work to do—Scotland's CS gender gap remains the largest in STEM. #CloseTheGenderGap

@choosecompsci.bsky.social A site for parents, guardians & key adults to spark young people’s interest in tech & encourage them to choose CS. With unequal access to CS in schools in Scotland, many pupils miss out on opportunities. Let’s change that!
