That should have said *let them COOL a little…*. That typo could cause more issues! 😬

One note I’ll mention… when we took them out of the oven, we thought something screwed up because they kind of melted a bit and spread out. We just let them cook a little so they could be handled and just sort of reformed them into balls again. They aren’t super pretty, but man they are addictive!

This one is brand new for us this year, not at all a family secret or anything 😁…

So apparently it is from Facebook. If you search for “Big Mama’s Recipes - Pecan Pie Balls” that’s the recipe she used.

Another substitute for paraffin or shortening is coconut oil. We use it for our tiramisu truffles.

…and Ennax throttled the service. Lights and everything else worked, but stove didn’t heat up. Had we not checked the stove, we could have been on the hook for the outstanding bill and/or the reconnection fee after the sale closed!!

This brings up a completely different line of thought for me….when we first looked at our house, we turned the stove on to see how it worked, and it didn’t seem to work properly… we questioned our realtor and it turned out the owner (who wasn’t living there) had stopped paying the power bill…

We have a glass top (non-induction) range with convection oven that came with the house. LOVE the oven… can load it right up with all three racks, all cook relatively evenly. On flip side, HATE the glass top! Ours takes forever to heat up AND cool down. Would almost prefer coiled element.

All the more important for those of us who desire a change back towards political sanity to vote united! The potential of the right splitting votes is our chance!
