I frequently use OVH VPS (hosted MediaWiki, XenForo, Discourse & Pterodactyl MC servers in the past) and haven't had any issues with them lol.

Never trusted or really liked rumble. Odyssey I think is better but leans into crypto which I don't want on an entertainment site. We do need a true alternative to YouTube (not sure how sustaining and creator monetization could work tho)

I'm paying like $8 / month to keep hosting the wikis I do. Really love how the indieweb figured it out with neocities.

Been thinking the same thing lmao. Miraheze and things like wiki.gg are fine but their closed access as compared to fandom that just works and you don't need to apply.
I would love to try and build a competitor and people options but big thing is cost and being sustainable lol.

The best wiki hosting aside from self hosting would be miraheze.org (not dedicated to Roblox and isn't as easy as Fandom).
I also host Roblox related wikis because my strong dislike for fandom (& wiki.gg declines Roblox communities). An example is animelife.robloxia.org.
