Waiting to get my club back #rctid, hugging trees, loving my cats and dog, hating fascism, racism, misogyny, and neo-nazi scum. Nature created us with the ability to see green because She wanted us to care for plants and trees like no other creature can.
The way Amazon music is doing the yearly roundup this year is to imagine what my festival lineups would be.

It looks great in daylight without the lights on, too.

The man who cut our tree down first thing yesterday said to his coworker, "This is a great tree to start the day." And he was right. 🎄

Are we sure that angels aren't actually cats? On the second day, He gave angels the ability to purr, and it was good.

Happy picking out the tree but not actually getting it until next Friday Day to all who do this insane thing.

Haku is training at the foot of The Great Pumpkin Eater. He doesn't devour them as quickly as TGPE, but he is learning. Only a few of the minis left, and then it's just squash orts from cooking.

This may be one of my favorite pictures ever. Haku and LB walking ahead under a bright sunburst and Ustinov's soft and beautiful ears just visible below. 💚

I used to be very selective about when I lit these up, but now I realize that is insane. Do what brings you joy now. 🎄⛄️🦌

I only rake leaves from the paths (which doubles as dog poo removal). Then I put the leaves around the saplings and trees, and I like to imagine that I am tucking them in for a long winter's slumber. 🌲🪾💤💤💤

In two days, I have competed 95% of the outdoor decorations, and 85% indoor (no tree yet, obviously). He arrived from Grandma's and declared, "This is the best you've ever done, Mom." #MrsClaus 🤶

It has begun (in a hurry to surprise the LB when he comes home from Grandma's). 🎅⛄️🎄

The trees are finally changing in my yard. Trying to enjoy it and not freak out that it is so late into fall.

Last year, two Japanese students at Reed reached out about a book they were thinking of writing. They wanted to make the incarceration history available to people in Japan (it's not widely known there) and needed help with resources and understanding the history.

This week, I got my copy. 🤗

Autumn is truly the most beautiful.

The tiny items you sent, @thecemeterygates.bsky.social, are the purple chihuahua with the ghost family, the frog beside the bird bath, and the food the skeleton is eating.

This morning, before the rain hit, we engaged in a very important activity for our mental health. 🍂🍁🍂

The Transition (because I don't want to have to put up the wreaths later when I already have the ladder out now)

"Monetised inattention" - what a perfect way to describe current culture. (Also sad to think about it in those terms.)

Figured out what to say when surrounded by kids - "Bad word ICE!"

Saw an old white dude dressed in king regalia and yelled, "No Kings!"

Some idiot asked "Is this a political thing?" YES, IT IS.

Little kids loved it and gave me hugs & high fives. Start 'em young. 🎃 🐸

Happy Halloween and fuck ICE.

It's really impossible to measure the damage to children's lives - the irreparable harm that we are witnessing at the hands of our own government.

They don't even feel safe to play soccer with their friends and peers.

When this bubble bursts, the economic carnage will be catastrophic.

Had another get-together with some crafts for adults. 🎃🖌

A person biking in the forest called out as she passed, "The fog will protect you today!"

Still not sure what she meant, but fog absolutely portends a good day.
