@scottmeslow.bsky.social made an observation I can’t stop thinking about in his Ghost of Yōtei review, how the game won’t let you run into trees. I asked him about it and he said something about how the game is “nature without its wildness” and that’s basically it, to me

I’m pretty deep into the skill tree (on standard difficulty) and progression has felt pretty much perfectly balanced throughout — enough flexibility to go deep early on the skills you care about, but enough depth that you’re still getting useful new abilities 20+ hours in
