As an example, the OG previews I use for URLs on my site are just dynamically-generated screenshots of the page itself, taken at Open Graph viewport sizes. The screenshot service step so many sites now do seems so silly. And my layout could be better catered to OG if I could target a CSS media type

Really nice to see "Custom Built-ins" aka the "is" attribute on this list. I've been vocal for a long time about this one being possibly *the* default way I'd use web components if it only worked in webkit/Safari (works everywhere else)
I listed it #1.

In just over a month, I will be in Freiburg, Germany to present at @smashingconf.com about web performance! The lineup looks fantastic. If you’re considering going, here’s a link with a discount code. I hope to see you there! ti.to/smashingmaga...

I have a morning checklist for packing everything for my run commute into Manhattan (towel, work clothes, laptop, etc). And yet, I forgot my belt again today.
Did you know a running shoelace can be a belt?

Recordings that show how deferred JS can delay accessibility, and fast rendering isn't necessarily perceivable to all. In both clips I'm opening a page in Chrome, which VoiceOver reads as soon as it can. Index.html contains an <h1>. Block.html adds a deferred JS that blocks the thread for 6 seconds

I think @zachleat.com's example from earlier in the year was a nice simple way to describe how nice it could be to have a declarative custom element for reuse on a page.
