Out delivering consultation leaflets to neighbours to see if we should hold a street party for #VEDay in May as @lutoncouncil.bsky.social has waived the fees for road closures. Met a lovely neighbour Rachel who hadn't met before and is well up for the idea.

Lovely if not very different day for how I would normally celebrate my birthday now "whirlwind" is with us. A farm with soft play and now a glass of wine on the sofa.
I don't think I'd change it mind to what we used to do. We still get to see folks tomorrow afternoon too.

An unpopular opinion but in the UK i think we should raise income tax by 7-10% for everyone.With that comes free childcare from 9 months to school age and free social care, like the NHS.The vast majority would eventually agree its the right move but no political party would ever introduce it
