Why would that explicitly be for Nepiki? I'm comfortable answering that. If there was a game called J.K.Rowling The Game where she spouted offensive regressive views on transgenderism, that would be banned under 'hate speech'. Very, very small chance she was even remotely involved in the games tbf

I don't think so? The game product itself is not the same thing as the author's life choices. The contents of the Harry Potter books or films or even the new re-made TV series are not the same thing as the person who originally wrote the books.

I understand, I can see how some could argue that phrasing could include darker horror games - please trust that the staff and I together are strongly against preventing actual games from having sets. The focus is more against serious hate speech/acts & literally illegal content than anything else.

@xkeeper.net has been a source of inspiration for sure. Their original article really helped me personally understand better the impact of these choices, so the wording/phrasing may have slipped into my vocabulary. Plagiarism unintentional, I promise

from me?? that doesn't sound appropriate, I'm really sorry for whatever it was. I may have whined "this is hard, I just want to play video games" but 'numbers go up' is odd. I don't especially care for quantity (user count) on RA, I just want to have fun, same as most of the other guys too

looking at it now, that's definitely another one we absolutely don't want RA to be associated with. Appreciating now that simply allowing references to those sort of games on RA means that we associate with them, which means we absolutely need to completely detach from them. Action incoming

what was the post? happy to do it (whatever it was) or delegate, there are plenty of staff to delegate to. I'm not perfect at this, far from it, but I'm interested in doing better

I get you, I hear what you're saying, and you're right that it ought to be something I can do easily. The tech has evolved a lot over the past 13 years and I don't have the best grasp. Lots of processes in place to keep order. No excuses though I need to know this stuff better

No pressure then :O but yea, agreed that inaction is just as bad as endorsing it in the first place. I'll get onto it with the team tomorrow

I think the thinking behind that wording is the suggestion that because the hack developers were planning a "2.0" without any abhorrent content. At this point though we don't want it no matter what revision

Agreed - we've reworded the message to make it clearer. There shouldn't be any doubt or misunderstanding about it

tldr I just wanna play games and have fun and get a lil extra dopamine from a little 'ding' in the corner of the screen. I didn't sign up for this complex stuff and I'm not good at it. I'm learning and with the team to help me I'm trying to do better. Today was a fail, but tomorrow will be better

It's fun til it gets repetitive imo - The later levels have so many cheap tricks, think it might legitimately be impossible to 1cc
