Did Donald Trump consult the Trump White House about canceling the $1.4 trillion in UAE investment in the United States that they just announced four weeks ago? The UAE handles >1 million barrels a day of Iranian petroleum.

The whole world knows that Trump's idiot team did not calculate "reciprocal tariffs" from any actual tariff rates or costs of non-tariff barriers. But, even if you accept their "theory," they got rates wrong by 4x because they used elasticity of retail not import prices.

The New York Court of Appeals (highest court in the state's system) was interpreting Article II of the state's constitution, which expressly states that *citizens* can vote. Whether the law should be different for city elections is a different question; what the law currenly provides is another.

My mother passed away on this date in 2017. She (and my father) left school at the University of Michigan to enlist in WWII. Corporal Mary Congdon served overseas as a WAC in the European Theatre and was always very proud of her service. This country used to be proud of it, too.
