There is very little to choose from up but if you want to understand exactly what is going on I still recommend PE (satire & very good investigative reporting despite IH), Byline, National and Ch4. There is no “perfect” group of media outlets but for me those 4 are best - the Guardian in reserve!

In truth, it is not “austerity” as we have been living with it since WWII! All my life the UK has been in a state of “austerity”. Today’s austerity is being driven by powerful, greedy far-right capitalism. Try and be a bit more lateral in your opinions. Support Byline Times!
