I’d have like to have seen Jolinton dropped over Tonali, and play Ramsay over Miley.

Thank you! Finding it quite easy to turn my brain off when running. And yeah, I’ve just been looking at some leg sleeves for nothing more than catching sweat. I think it’s dripping down my legs. I’ll try those and see how I get on!

@himal.bsky.social I think you’re the only runner I know. Any tips?

Longest I’ve ever ran was 10 miles, so I’m pleased to have smashed through the half marathon. 9 months ago, I was 21 stone and got out of breath running a bath. I reckon I could really push myself with some training. But this sweat issue is concerning me.

I’d love to be able to attempt a marathon at some point and I don’t think I’d be able to do it without at least one full change, if not 2 changes. Or do you just embrace the waterlogged shoes? I can manage with wet shorts and tee. Although I can imagine getting sores with soaked shorts.

I'm expecting a hiding. And to be freezing cold watching it!

The comments are pretty good. If you look for DfE on Facebook, you’ll see what I mean 🤣

If these weren’t bad enough, I found this one. This is real, by the way.

I am not terminally ill, by the way. Multiple loved ones are. When it rains, it pours, and all that.

My autistic brain does not do well with unpredictability, especially when I can not influence or change an outcome. That's life, though. One minute we are here, the next we are not. If the last few years have taught me anything, it's to cherish the passage of time, even when things are tough.

For those 10 miles, I was in control. I didn't want to do it. I hate running, actually. But I was in control, and it gave me ample time to process my thoughts. To put things into perspective. Getting older sucks. Illness and loss are inevitable, and dealing with them is brutal.
