I love multi-phased final bosses in Metroid with a sense of escalating threat, but what they did in Beyond is a complete lack of build-up or surprise and there’s some genuine Other M level of bullcrap.

Even without the desert, Beyond has fundamental problems and they can be seen by comparing Prime 4’s map screen to those from Prime 1, 2 and 3. The level design? What level design?
