Dang, they seemed to have skipped over a lot of that when writing the article. It's too bad that this information wasn't widely available for us researchers or I could have avoided publishing here. I hope enough actions are underway and this will be resolved soon and prevented from occurring again.

During my experience with STOTEN, they did not ask for reviewer contact information, which may indicate that changes addressing the issue are underway.

This is unfortunate, especially considering that the malpractice seemed to have been done by one unethical author. I sincerely hope that my research along with the ~7K other published findings as reported in the article aren't stereotyped as accepted under false reviews.

... but reading other people's experiences can hopefully lessen the loneliness and anger we feel.
