Within a range of physiologically relevant plasma concentrations; plasma and brain glucose scale linearly. In the limited number of studies in T2D/obesity, this relationship seems to diverge. Conclusions based around CMRglc in T2D/obesity also vary and would benefit from further studies.

We see parallel findings, a reduction in brain 11B-HSD1 in obesity in Zucker rats, as we saw in our previous human brain imaging paper.
