This was the entire crux of my argument against my old department requiring applicants to take the GRE. They were not delighted to have a poor person yell at them about it!

That is SO MUCH, AAAAAAHHHHHH.

If you still have any patience, a lot of Canadian unis have fee waivers/discounts, especially for mature students. You can ask the admissions department whether they have A Process and hopefully they will be helpful about it!

I ADORE procedural memory...it's really fascinating how physical learning/knowing/doing stuff is. I do music and dementia research and it is always amazing to see how strongly certain skills/patterns/behaviours get encoded.

A lovely one is holding a baby - people remember how to do that real well!
