Everyone i know who's doing shows for electronic stuff are barely profiting and djs and performers not paid fairly imo. Sure you can make the argument that local people are more likely to buy merch, music, etc. But most peoples local scenes are not big enough to make a liveable income off that

I might be insane 4 this but I dont think this is the solution? Like yeah being a part of the local scene is cool as fuck but its not magically going to make a liveable income for me. Ik most people in my area getting paid like 100-300 dollars per show unless they're like touring level 😭
