Hello

I’ve developed a hangover prevention method which means you can still have alcohol. I've written up the method as an online course so you'll learn how to prevent a hangover in the first place.

Click on the Linktree in my bio. It is called Hangover Prevention Method Course.

Fab marketing from Cornish Orchards - 'Uncover The Truth About Cider'. A lie detector test compares Cornish Orchards (made from freshly pressed apple juice) to mainstream brands from ultra processed apple juice concentrate with added aroma, flavour and other additives.

This is beer related art by my brilliant and talented sister @helenpeyton.bsky.social. It is a lino-reduction print (Helen's speciality - a very tricky technique to perfect).

It is barley under the Milky Way, growing in a Yorkshire field .

I've been in Hay, the book town in Wales, to host a cider tasting and talk at How The Light Gets In Festival. It's the type of amazing festival of ideas where a Nobel prize winning mathematician & philosopher Roger Penrose cosies up with a booze mistress (me) in the book shop!

Borough (London) has a really fab new indie pub. The Blue Maid owned by @unbarredbrewery.bsky.social brewery. Keg & cask beers from Unbarred + lots of other indie brewers & draught cider from Ascension.

Several tables along the adjacent alleyway so it's a summer AND winter pub. Opens Apr 7th 25

A very big cheer for Hiranthi Cook of Cidentro Cider for winning GOLD at World Alcohol Free Awards 2025

I was one of the judges and this was the only gold medal awarded for cider. Hiranthi only recently started making no alc cider so to win a major award on her first try is most impressive!

Congratulations x 2 to Burnside Brewery, the only British brewery to win GOLD @worldafawards 2025 for Right To Roam IPA. The brewery also won SILVER for Wayfinder Wayfinder pale lager.

I was one of the judges & Right To Roam IPA was by far my favourite of the three days!

Big congratulations to Mova Beer, a brewery in Dnipro, Ukraine for winning a GOLD medal at World Alcohol Free Awards 2025.

I was one of the judges & remember judging this beer - a scrumptious, flavoursome dark stout.

Slava Ukraini.

Delicious fresh juice ciders by @twofarmerscider. Made in Herefordshire mostly from Dabinett & Michelin bittersweet cider apples.

The fruit cider is gorge, made with real fruit juice - raspberry, strawberry & blackcurrant not sugar packed syrup & co-fermented with the apples.

I'm partial to a perry! Sandford Orchards have released a new limited edition perry made with Blakeney Red, Green Horse, Brandy and Gin pears.

Look at this gorgeous packaging for Anthem, a completely delish session pale ale newly released in cans. It is brewed by St Austell Brewery from all British ingredients.

I have drunk it many times as a real ale and now its in cans I will be drinking it many more times.

I went to a Bridge class with a friend. It was our first lesson. She learned quickly and was very good at the game and I was very good at drinking the beer.

Malus cider zine asked me write a tribute to the much-loved Susanna Forbes after her death in Sept 2024. Here's an edited version posted on my Substack. It contains some heartfelt tributes from some of Susanna’s cider friends.

We all miss her so much.
