I mean, he's absolutely going to try, he hasn't been repeatedly bringing it up since the start of his 1st term to just not even try, but the ideas they've floated around for how to actually do it are pretty asinine.

That whole party is fully on-board with the idea that if a (Republican) president does it, it's not illegal. Therefore, no order can be an illegal order.

Frankly, anyone who couldn't see the inflation of 2021 coming like a freight train in mid-2020 has no business involving themselves in discussions about economics.
November 24, 2025 at 5:57 PM
Not even kidding, watch him name it Trump Force One.
November 24, 2025 at 5:53 PM
But I'm sure the $400 million jet they gave the president as a personal gift was given with only the best of intentions.
November 24, 2025 at 5:52 PM
I'm just going to pretend that they maybe don't go out and play as good of a game on Thursday as they would have if they were going into it having lost 2 in a row for the first time in like 3 years.
November 24, 2025 at 5:29 PM
Considering they've had 15 years and still haven't even put out any ideas of what they might put in a healthcare plan, I don't expect they'll actually do anything.

But, if they did, guarantee it will be objectively worse than what we have now, and probably not by only a little bit.
November 24, 2025 at 12:50 PM
I mean, this is basically how the right justifies doing whatever they want. Just claim the left is doing it, so it's fine if they do it, despite the absence of any evidence the left is doing anything.
November 24, 2025 at 7:29 AM
I mean, I can see why.
November 21, 2025 at 8:25 AM
Literally called themselves Tories, which is the name of the conservative party in the UK to this day. But, they'll swear up and down it was the left who were the loyalists.
November 20, 2025 at 2:27 PM
Literally everything all the time even when there's absolutely zero reason to.
November 20, 2025 at 12:05 PM
I mean, it explains why trump was able to convince so many people that a good economy was actually bad. By economic metrics, it was doing fantasic and still getting better under Biden, but as inflation came down, companies kept prices where they were, so all people saw was stuff is too expensive.
November 19, 2025 at 8:04 PM
I mean, this is kind of their thing. In any given situation, they seem to intentionally pick the worst possible person to take the lead on it.
November 19, 2025 at 5:34 PM
It would be funny trying to watch him explain why the only files being released are ones that involve a Democrat, even though that's what he explicitly ordered the DOJ to investigate, and therefore they wouldn't be able to release those files specifically. But, I know the press won't bother asking.
November 19, 2025 at 2:38 PM
Don't forget the part where trump decided last minute to start pretending he wanted the files released, but not only refused to just order the DOJ to do it himself, ordered the DOJ to reopen the investigation explicitly to try to stop it.
November 19, 2025 at 2:36 PM
To me, it confirmed that for way too many people literally the only thing that matters is how they feel the economy is doing, not how it's actually doing, just how they feel it's doing.
November 19, 2025 at 1:14 PM
Pretty sure he'll have a sudden change of heart once his lawyers explain trotious interference to him. But, fifa is definitely also going to be facing a bunch of lawsuits if they move games.
November 18, 2025 at 5:17 PM
It is weird that he isn't following in lock step with trump's fake reversal on wanting the files released.
November 18, 2025 at 4:57 PM
Pretty sure American sports leagues have been successfully sued by fans for that before, and that's with the league's actually having a legitimately good reason for moving the game.
November 18, 2025 at 4:14 PM
Does the artificial turf at Jerryworld even meet FIFAs playing surface requirements? Not that they wouldn't amend those to comply with the fascist dictator, since they're apparently willing to face breach of contract lawsuits to please him.
November 18, 2025 at 4:10 PM
But, not nearly as hilarious when each of these cities slaps trump with a tortious interference suit along with the breach of contract suit they bring against fifa.
November 18, 2025 at 4:06 PM
Without even needing to see those contracts, I feel pretty sure certain FIFA didn't write themselves in an out for a capitulating to the fascist dictator. So, they can have fun paying out those damages. And trump can have fun with the tortious interference suits headed his way.
November 18, 2025 at 4:02 PM
Sure makes it super convenient for the regime to just label literally anyone they feel like a terrorist, though.
November 17, 2025 at 6:06 AM
They don't even have to put in effort to think of something that has just the right the amount of plausibility. Literally nothing is too far outside the bounds anymore.
November 17, 2025 at 5:56 AM
I would expect the inflated prices will stay until a sufficient number of people show they're no longer willing to pay it.
