At the end of September @haesleinhuepf.bsky.social, training coordinator @scadsai.bsky.social held the AI competence training AI4psychology which focused on fundamentals, efficient application, risks, and legal framework of AI models and systems.

From November 2-7, Marzan Tasnim Oyshi attended IEEE VIS 2025 in Vienna. She presented the poster “Understanding Wind Dynamics in VR: Visual Analytics for Terrain and Architecture“. In this work, 9TB wind data covering the entirety of Saxony from 1961-2020 was visualized in VR.

Last thursday, @scadsai.bsky.social researcher Oliver Welz attended the 5th Robotics & AI Project Workshop in Chemnitz, Germany. There, he pitched the topic of Vision Language Action Models and made promising connections with researchers and companies from the field of robotics in Saxony.🤖🤝

Last week, Christofer Meinecke presented “Cluster‑Based Random Forest Visualization and Interpretation” at IEEE VIS Vienna.
The paper clusters similar trees and introduces Feature Plot and Rule Plot to improve RF interpretability.

From November 4 –9, 2025, Prof. Michael Färber, Shuzhou Yuan and Nicholas Popovič joined the 2025 Conference on Empirical Methods in Natural Language Processing (EMNLP 2025) in Suzhou, China. They contributed 4 papers to the conference. 👏
