It's a little early, but I'm too excited to keep this under wraps any longer. Presenting the 2025 edition of "Winter Songs" ❄️ It's been refreshed and has some wonderful new additions. I hope you enjoy it! 🎄

Hi all. I know a few of you have been wondering where I’ve been these past few hours. I had to take some time away and sit with the fact that Kylie Minogue has scored the UK Christmas #1. It’s these moments that truly matter. A Christmas miracle one might say.

Successfully wore @patrickkelleher.bsky.social down into getting a second dehumidifier. A Christmas miracle (he’s just thankful it’s not another Sonos speaker).

I bet you weren’t expecting another festive playlist from yours truly, but ‘tis the season for giving 🎁 “Jingle Jazz" pairs perfectly with good company, good food (and drinks!), and the glow of wintertime ✨ Streaming now exclusively on Apple Music: music.apple.com/ie/playlist/...

On Thursday night, I attended our local queer book club. Tonight, we had our Pride Christmas dinner with 26 other wonderful people. Never did I think I would get the opportunity to be part of such a lovely group, and in Roscommon of all places! Just goes to show how important rural Pride is 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️

Seeing the icon who single-handedly stopped Bertie Ahern from running for President tonight: CMAT! I’ve tried seeing her 3 times now. First time, I got COVID. Second, CMAT was sick so it was cancelled. And third, my family dog died suddenly hours beforehand (miss you Dottie 💜). So 🤞 for tonight!

After being on a good few trips this year despite having a house to finish renovating, it makes sense to take a break from travelling in 2026 and focus on getting things done! So with that in mind, we have booked a few nights away in London on January 1st … Wait a minute.

Another rewatch of “Ugly Betty” complete. Oh boy, that ending 😭 The last two episodes of the series are so good and so incredibly moving. What a journey. I’ve enjoyed every minute of it (even season two - not as bad as I remember), and I’ll miss my evenings spent with Betty and co.

I have recently discovered the benefits of a hot water bottle. All it took was for me to buy and move into a house (built around 1900) which currently has a heating system that isn’t working properly.

I heard Hera Björk‘s “Je Ne Sais Quoi” for the first time today. What a moment. On a related note: “Scared of Heights” was - and continues to be - robbed.

And that’s another rewatch of “Looking” completed. As naff as it sounds, having been to San Francisco earlier this year, the show was more enjoyable this time around. It deserved so much more, but what we got was brilliant television.
