🌉 bridged from https://justfollow.me.uk/@sborrill on the fediverse by https://fed.brid.gy/
Me, in elevator just now. Two kids get on, push the 6 and 7 buttons (we were already past those floors), yell "six seven" in unison, and look to me for a reaction, which, because I am an old sourpus, wasn't forthcoming.

No one won. It was a stalemate.

The good folks at SOUNDPEATS have sent me their new "Clip1" headphones to review. They are easily the most comfortable headphones I've ever worn.

Typically, headphones fall into three broad categories.

In ear, like the Apple […]

So that's milkshakes and flavoured milk ruined by the #ukpol nanny state. I would happily pay the 19.4p/l levy to avoid being poisoned by artificial sweeteners (cf. genuine Coca-Cola levy at McDonalds), but that won't be an option I suspect based on Ribena, Rubicon, Rio, etc. all being made […]

Another pointless puff-piece from #cambridge News

"New gastropub with focus on local produce opens in Cambridgeshire village"

Beers are all mass-produced and none are local (there are plenty of local breweries both keg and cask near Fulbourn):

Guiness = Ireland
Estrella = Spain via Bedford […]

Hello Stephen,

Many companies are using AI to reduce routine work and accelerate decision-making.

Is NetBSD planning to implement AI initiatives this year? We support teams in starting with small pilot projects that demonstrate their value […]

This is a really weird story and certainly wasn't on my bingo card for news stories this week.

"Several veterans and serving officers have expressed their concerns [...] that the man [...] may not have been a Rear Admiral - and may not have earned all the medals he was wearing." […]

It's pretty weird that if you buy an Innocent smoothie it comes with a tiny knitted bobble hat. For each sale they donate 30p to Age UK. If you don't want the little hat, you can send it back via Freepost (i.e. they pay for the return postage) and they reuse […]

"The only way to be certain whether you have the flu or coronavirus is to take a Covid test"
