2. Husband Unit and I each gave one another a bottle of this Black Maple Hill 23 year Rye for our 10th anniversary (VERY O. Henry), which was 16 years ago. It’s time to finish this last bottle.
We had had wine/booze preserving gas sprayed into the bottle, and it’s still good. #Cheers 🥃🥃 2/2

2. Husband Unit and I each gave one another a bottle of this Black Maple Hill 23 year Rye for our 10th anniversary (VERY O. Henry), which was 16 years ago. It’s time to finish this last bottle.

OK, I freely admit that in this thread I am being a big feckin’ showoff.
We realized to our horror that we were out of ice tonight. So we’re sipping spirits instead of mixing cocktails.

The carrots are basically mush, but I really want to slice up those onions and mix them back in. I think I will.

The garlic, 1T Calabrese oregano, & 1T Calabrese chilies sautéing in 4T olive oil & 4T butter.
Tomatoes go in, along with the aromatics. Four more tablespoons of Calabrese chile, salt & pepper. Dutch oven goes into 300° oven for 6 hours, stirring once per hour.
