Because we were willing to tack back to the centre rather than allowing the far right to gain control. Its the Canadian way.

sure thing robot.
Humans arent very creative when they cant feed their families because they've been "displaced", or fired as real people would say.

If you increase productivity but fire the artists, who benefits? not the artists or the workers.

Its not about productivity, its about the technology cutting the single biggest expense a business has...the workers.

Hunger, healthcare, education, and many other social systems would be fully funded if we put people before imaginary numbers.

When you can, If you can, then you should.

Had to look it up :P
$25.99 could arguably be too low considering how long it took them to complete it and the level of demand people had for it. But I know players would have pushed back on a higher price, which is part of the problem. Even something they love they are reluctant to pay more for.

No matter what the UCP says about books, or what Steam curators say about games, artists will keep pushing back against those who claim authority. We’ll still be here, making our so-called “degenerate” art. And if you want to engage with our work, you can, no matter what other people say.

In the 1930s–40s, fascists called modern art, “Degenerate Art.” They used that phrase and the art itself as fuel for hate and to rally support. Authoritarian minds always hate art that challenges their ideal hierarchy and their want to control the cultural narrative to force that ideal on everyone

The discomfort of a few should never define what’s acceptable for the many. Art is freedom. It transcends hierarchy and authority. You can’t stop people from making or experiencing art. When governments and groups try to draw boundaries about what’s “appropriate” for expression we know why.
