I am having some push back from users not agreeing with the categorization of the users I am doing in: bskycheck.com/followstat.php

Can you help me 🙏 to change the criteria (and category names)?

The correlation between bskycheck’s monitoring of AT proto and the data from bsky.jazco.dev/stats website is still very strong.
bskycheck.com still overestimates the number of users joining by 4-5%

Added back the bot checker tool.
Take it with a grain of salt, it is far from flawless.
Just a hint about account and if they might be bots.

In the past 30 days, Bluesky has been blue-checking approximately 30 users daily on average. That’s good!

The last time a new trusted verifier was added was 24 days ago (@ign.com). Who should it be next?
I have a slight bias here but somebody in the ATproto dev community would be good 😜

Do I have any AT proto dev in my followers?
I have a dilemma.

For the past hour I see many users registration on a private PDS using clouve.com hosting.
In all aspects they are legit ATproto/bluesky users but the DID does not seems to be resolvable.
So remove those from my stats or not?

Bluesky seems to be more actively verifying account.
They have verified 30+ accounts in the last 24h, not all very prominent accounts.

To lean on the gloomy threads about Bluesky’s demise.
Bluesky is fine and does the right things.

For the past 3 months it’s been much better in detecting bots, suspending abusive users, and labeling spam farms.
Bluesky doesn’t prioritize engagement stats; if it did, boosting them would be easy.

This graph compares the new users as computed from the ATproto stream and from bsky.jazco.dev/stats

Correlation is still very good AT proto overestimate the new users by 4-5%
