We are a West Cork Community that came together in opposition to a new quarry along the Bandon River and are committed to protecting the Bandon River Valley and its habitats.
Yesterday was #WorldOtterDay; to celebrate these magnificent creatures here is a video taken at Murragh bridge last November 🦦

A fascinating article about the complex history of Murragh from the Stone Age to the Celts.
Archeological discoveries of a ring ditch and burnt mounts amoung others on the site of a proposed quarry make it an area of high archeological significance with a high potential of uncovering more features!

Thanks to everyone that came out for our An Taisce National Spring Clean this morning! We managed to gather a nice bit; very few coffee cups which is good, however, plenty of bottles, cans, crisp bags and vapes ..

In 30 years, Ireland's pristine rivers dropped from 500 to just over 20 and, in 50 years, we've lost 90% of our salmon 😢🐟

Baseline Shift means we're less aware of this loss📉

Let's not accept a diminished world🛑

We must #RestoreOurWaters 💙📢
