On Tyranny focuses on the concept of tyranny in the context of the modern United States politics, analyzing what Snyder calls "America's turn towards authoritarianism". Explaining that "History does not repeat, but it does instruct." A simple and profound book.

In the case of Little et al vs. Llano County et al, one of the books removed from the library shelves was "They Called Themselves the K.K.K.: The Birth of an American Terrorist Group". And yet, the cover story was to 'root out pornography'. Lying liars, the far right is trying to root out history.

This one, removed from Llano County Library shelves, was VERY telling, as well as Caste.

The President and the FBI conspire to grab unlimited powers for the Executive branch by inventing a 'crime wave'. They propose a 35th Amendment to the Constitution which would allow the suspension of the Bill of Rights in case of a national emergency.
