Train Dreams has several nominations for best actor (Joel Edgerton), adapted screenplay, cinematography, and best original song. Beautiful film.

I am partial to those that take artistic risks, such as Rocketman (Elton John), Behind the Candelabra (Liberace), and Ray. Also thought Walk the line (Cash) was good. Each of these benefited from superb lead performances.
