sadly the wire connections broke while trying to get the thing out of the light fitting so it will have to live on as memento only

someone broke the outside glass of edison screw, removed the filament, twisted the bayonets of an LED globe into its exposed the power wires, and connected the LED globe to the stand of the old globe using some kind of copper clip

effective but...why
