I guess high horses are reserved for the guy who literally rode in on one and has spent hours telling people who work in actual hospitals how this article he read online trumps their professional experience in the field.

Life's too short for this nonsense. Fuck all the way off, bro. *blocks*

Any service member who sides with a draft-dodging coward who's spent decades dissing veterans, claiming ownership over "MY generals" and "MY troops," trying to start wars with pretty much everyone, desecrating graves, and otherwise disrespecting military service is revealing a lot about themselves.

One of my best friends just got Covid about two months ago. She's not remotely recovered from it, and is still having trouble breathing, has lost a great deal of her energy, and is dealing with debilitating brain fog.

But please, DO tell us again how we're "righteous for feeling this way."

And when child-traffickers are actually caught and exposed, they NEAR-INEVITABLY turn out to be right-wing "family values" types - often working in Law Enforcement.

Former Judge Tim Nolan sentenced to 20 years. 'You ... made me lose hope' one victim tells him.
The case has grown weirder since Nolan pleaded guilty to human trafficking in Febrary

I'd like to think most people can tell the difference between a media fantasy like Castle or Sex & the City (in which writers make big bucks and live well despite never actually writing) and the lives of real-world writers.

Then I recall that most people are pretty damn stupid.

Yeah, that makes sense. I read Joyce as an elective in my high school AP English class, and spent the first few chapters going, "What the fuck is THIS shit?" The cognitive development insight hit me around Chapter Four, and although I'm glad for its influence, I haven't read Joyce again since.
November 26, 2025 at 2:06 AM
Funny thing: PotAaaYM was a revelation to me once I realized Joyce was writing "in voice" to reflect the protagonist's cognitive development. I can't say I ENJOYED the book, but the moment when I was like, "Wait, you can DO that?" inspired my approach to writing afterward.

You're an idiot. This is not really debatable. So are other people who post objective nonsense as if it's legal writ. Cat videos are the 🐐 tho.

Initially, yes. I learned better once I stopped to actually read the article.

Seems I chose the GIF more astutely than I chose the comment! 😱🤣

Whenever we sort this shit out, one of the first loopholes to fix is the one allowing one man (and let's be honest - one MAN) to command the military and Law Enforcement.

That's absurd, and the fact that it hasn't been abused this badly before now says a lot about even our worst former presidents.

Ah! I thought at first this was yet another MAGA power grab.

Keep forgetting that Nazi cosplay is a global thing these days.

This "radical plan" goes directly against two of the first ten Constitutional Amendments (six and seven).

But hey - since everything except Amendment 2 is on the table these days, I guess that's just "a radical plan" now, amirite?

FREEEEEEEDOMMMMMMM!!!!

Page rates were $150 when I considered working in comics during the 1990s.

We know how much these work-for-hire intellectual properties in "disposable media" are worth, and that IP owners will refuse to pay royalties, despite royalties contracts, Becuz Reasons.

And yet, here we still fucking are.

Obviously, I'm just basing that off a quick internet search.

But the version posted on us.code.house.gov does not have that provision anymore.

"According to UCMJ Law Article 92 An order is unlawful if it violates the Constitution, U.S. laws, or military regulations and it directs a service member to commit a crime or unethical act."

Nov. 20, 2025

As of the 11/23 "update," that clause is no longer there.
