I don't label myself or my outlook on life here, especially as my views and priorities may change over time. However, a longstanding tenet of mine is "Do as you would be done by", which works for me.
Take me as you find me.
Oh, I think that train has already left the station, don't you?

Where is the so-called "massive immigration"? It's fiction. It's more convenient to blame problems on immigration than to look at the actual causes.

There seems to be increasingly frenzied coercive activity to silence legitimate comment and questioning.
Maybe because that's all that's left to people who have lost all credibility in their denial & justification of the depraved behaviour of a cruel & vindictive rogue state.

Truth will win

Well, it certainly did not originate from on board the boat.

Perth people marched in support of Palestinian people on a cold, rainy and thundery Friday night.

We will not be bullied out of standing up for what is right.

I felt sick watching what was done to and with the Australian flag on Sunday by people who have made it a symbol of jingoism and racism, so I designed a new one.

How do you feel about Helen Clark also being there?

There were more than 50 people in that photograph, from all over the world, and I think it highly disingenuous of the media to present a cropped version that implies it was a cosy little group.

Don't let a cropped photo fool you. One or two others also attended....

I like this one. It references and respects the Indigenous flag without appropriating it, ditto the existing flag via the colours, and includes the Southern Cross.

Has anyone noticed that nobody in this picture is even pretending to take this arrest seriously?

Apparently this is what he actually said, in response to a leading question.

I found this lovely set of nested tables in an op shop. They're solid oak and surprisingly heavy for their size. I'm looking forward to restoring & using them. Does anyone recognise the period and style? I'd love an idea of where they came from.

I couldn't tell how many thousands attended the Free Palestine rally in rainy Perth today, but Forrest Place was crowded, as were the walkways around it, & the 2km march up William Street to Hyde Park looked like this from halfway along. It was huge, peaceful, respectful & very heartening.

Yes, girls went to school in Gaza. Palestine has one of the highest literacy rates in the world.
What was your point?
By the way, this is a picture of Hind Rajab (remember her?) when she graduated kindergarten.

I watched these rainbow lorikeets brazenly evict a pair of Australian Wood Ducks from this tree hollow in Hyde Park, Perth. To be fair, I don't know who found the hollow first but, given that the lorikeets are a feral pest in Perth known to steal nesting sites, I know whose side I'm on.

Perth People gathered outside the offices of the ABC at short notice today, to show the ABC how we feel about their coverage of Israel's treatment of Palestinians & targeting and murder of journalists.

Looking forward to seeing you all, plus friends, on the 24th, 12 noon, Forrest Place.

"Takeover"?????

It's planned illegal occupation, aka invasion.

I replaced an internal fence with overlapped lengths of galvanised weldmesh from a well-known hardware provider, supported by galvanised posts (same provider) anchored into concrete. Everything is fastened with adjustable steel ties. It was easy, inexpensive & strong and is a great plant trellis.

...and this is how you get away with it. "Education" junkets for politicians, senior public servants, mayors, councillors, media people...one coming up on the Gold Coast soon.
If this is not foreign interference I don't know what is.

They're like this pretty much every day....

It's very lovely, and looks like the flower of Snake Gourd.
